As you can see, our recent company made us very happy. Just their presence would have been good enough, but it rained while they were here! They must have thought we were a little nuts with how excited we were to see rain and significant clouds.

Rain CloudsWe always try to make our visitors have lots of positive thoughts about small town Nebraska when they leave. With these great visitors, who like to remain internet anonymous, it was HOT while they were here; but we appreciated the air conditioning, found some water to play in,

Their kids taught our kids about belly flops.

and found the shade.

Do you see the way they’re carefully listening to Brad’s lecture? They had all sorts of good farming questions for Brad, and he loved answering them. Makes me think we need an “Ask Brad” feature on the blog.

We love these people to pieces, so we were obviously greatly blessed to have them around for a day. Hopefully they left with an impression of western Nebraska as something other than HOT and Dry.
