If you’re driving around the drought ridden country and wonder why the farmer left a strip of corn in his field, let me tell you now.

He couldn’t chop it all because he had to leave some proof for the insurance adjuster as to how bad the field actually was. You might see the same thing with a field that had a lot of hail damage.

  1. We were just up at Crofton, NE area (south of Yankton) last week and saw that and wondered what that was all about – thanks for the info. We saw it everywhere up there – the drought is really bad in the north east corner of NE. So sad.
