Nothing like a little hail to remind us how little we can really control in life.
As a farmer, Brad does as many things as he can to get the best crop, but weather is one thing we can never control. Last year were constantly reminded of this because we needed rain, especially for the non-irrigated corn. This year we’ve been blessed with adequate rain. The irrigated and dry land corn was looking great. Then last week a one mile patch of hail hit the pivot.
Really, it shouldn’t hurt the overall yield dramatically; but it still makes a person frown to look at it when it looked so lovely before the hail. I’m just taking it as my reminder of the One who is really in charge and who ultimately provides.
