Things were a little too wet for farming at the beginning of last week and Brad didn’t have a pressing electrical job, so we got one little project done at our house. Quite monumental when that happens. Brad tore out an overgrown bush and planted a tree. As is the custom I grew up with, we took a picture with the kids by the new tree. It was a sweaty task getting the stump of the bush out and the tree planted so our Wednesday afternoon turned into a time for a treat. Elliana and I made Root Beer Floats thanks to the super kid friendly recipe book from education.com. A perfect afternoon that I have to remember happened. Friday nights and Saturdays when we lived in the city meant we did something fun. Now, unless something is already scheduled, it’s just another time for Brad to work. At the same time, if Brad wasn’t working for himself, we’d never have root beer floats on a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of the week.
Now if we only had more ice cream so I could have another float.
