We got to go watch the branding of the family cattle last week. Between our camera and another I have some fun pictures to share with you. We weren’t present when they separated the calves from the cows, which means I have no pictures of people riding horses. All you get to see is the actual branding.
Here’s the big picture of what’s happening. They’re working with a small group of calves in a small pen. In this picture you can see the three pairs of people holding calves all at the same time.
Dad, I took this for you.

Don’t worry. He ran away happy.

They also castrate when they brand.

My newest sister-in-law showing what she’s made of. Our husbands marry tough women.
2 of my sister-in-laws hard at work while I stood there and just took pictures.
In the end they run away happy.
Wish I could have been there to help!

You should just come be a vet out here, and then you’d have the option of coming every year!
